Great talk with Hanoi’s chefs about traditional Vietnamese food


I am supporting Hội Đầu Bếp Hà Nôi – Hanoi’s chefs community on marketing and an English teaching serial for the members.
Last Tuesday, we met and had great talk about traditional Vietnamese food and else.

The guy from Đặc Sản Giao Thủy, the first on the left, knows so much about vietnamese food, He’s been to 64 provinces in which, each province he has stayed for three months.

From him I learn the way minority people marinate fish, how to make the best clay fish in traditional way, how to make simple fruit vinegar …

Very Interesting experience, much to learn and much to discover.

In the meantimes, do you know that the earthen pot can use only once? From the second time, it will bring toxin back to your dishes.

Huyen Chi was born in a foodie family and trained to cook at 6 year old. At 8 year old, she started to manage her family kitchen: planning meal, purchasing ingredients and cooking. She learnt first from mum but much more from grand-dad, the head-chef of the the family, an army nurse who travelled from place to place, tasted local food and cooked it.
